Andrews Managers put a sock in it for Sport Relief!
All of the 140 Managers at Andrews put a sock in it for Sport Relief during their annual Branch Managers Conference yesterday (Tuesday 16th March). The Managers at the Conference raised £477 by purchasing a pair of Sport Relief socks for at least £2 ahead of the big Sport Relief event this Friday (19th March).
During the Conference, which was held at the Madejski Stadium in Reading, the Andrews delegates headed out onto the terraces and pitch to wave their socks in support of Sports Relief which helps poor and vulnerable people, both at home and overseas. With 80 branches across the South West and South East, Andrews itself is founded on three Charitable Trusts and contributes a dividend of its profits to charitable causes each year.
The Andrews Charitable Trust is currently piloting a ground-breaking project tackling the causes of homelessness in Bristol working alongside established charities such as SHELTER. Chief Executive of Andrews Michael Robson said: “All of the Managers and Directors of the Company got into the spirit of Sport Relief by making a donation and wearing their socks. It is very fitting that our Conference was held at the home of such sporting greats as Reading FC and London Irish Rugby Club.
As a property Company Andrews fully understands the wider issues associated with Housing and Homelessness and is positively helping the local community on a daily basis.”“The theme of the Andrews Conference for 2010 was Performance and the two guest speakers were Head Coach at Gloucester RFC and Former Scotland Rugby captain Bryan Redpath and award–winning stand-up comedian Sam Avery. Both regularly perform at the highest level in their chosen industry and provided great motivation and inspiration to our Managers.”
